ARCADIA, Wis. — Almost nothing little about the just concluded Ashley for the Arts festival in Arcadia — except maybe the city of Arcadia.

The western Wisconsin city of about 3,000 has been the site of the charitable festival for 10 years now. And, it’s this 10th year that turned into a doozy.

Over 70,000 people this past weekend took in dozens of shows, including Rick Springfield, Daughtry and Rascal Flatts. But, also performances by groups from schools like Aquinas and Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, along with a craft fair and car show.

After the final count, Ashley for the Arts organizers say they raised $535,000 for 51 school districts and other non-profit groups.

The festival, supported heavily by Ashely Furniture, has grown substantially every year since 2009 when it drew about 300 people.

Tickets for the event were just $10.
