Son allegedly stole over $300,000 from his 100-year-old father

Police are investigating a case of $332,000 in cash taken from a safety deposit box.

A 100-year-old La Crosse man told police last Tuesday he had put his son on his account at a bank in La Crosse to show his son that he trusted him.

The two had been estranged.

The man initially refused to give his dad the keys to the box back to him.

There is just $18,000 remaining. No charges have been filed yet.
