Onalaska man charged in knife stabbing, while La Crosse man has hearing for scissors stabbing

An alleged knife attack leads to a battery charge against an Onalaska man.

Charges have now been filed against Aaron Petras, following his arrest over the weekend.

The 24-year-old reportedly got into a fight with his roommate in La Crosse. After after they went home, he reportedly stabbed the roommate in the neck while friends were standing nearby.

Both men were allegedly drinking before the attack.

Also, a La Crosse man has a preliminary hearing next week on a charge of attacking another man with scissors, while the victim was lying on a couch.

Taylor Gile is charged with substantial battery causing bodily harm and disorderly conduct.

The 24-year-old is accused of stabbing the other man’s hand with a large pair of scissors, while saying he wanted him to die.

The attack happened in a south La Crosse apartment.

The victim claims Gile has attacked him with scissors twice in the last month.

Gile was drinking. He had a blood alcohol level of .31 when he was taken to jail. He has since been released.
