Two adults from Melvina face child neglect charges in Monroe County.

Sheriff Scott Perkins says a search of a Melvina residence on Friday revealed evidence that children were being kept in makeshift cages. 

The search followed a tip received by the sheriff’s office early Friday. 

The names of the suspects are not being released yet, and charges could be filed soon.
