Kickapoo River still on the rise at points downstream

Record crests may still happen on the Kickapoo River in the next couple of days, as high water continues downstream.

The river has gone down several feet from the 20-foot level recorded at Ontario, Wis., on Monday night.

At Readstown, the river was close to 23 feet Wednesday morning, compared to only five feet Monday.

Weather forecasters thought the river could exceed 20 feet at Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills later Wednesday.
