La Crosse’s plan commission votes for housing plans on old naval reserve site

The plans for building houses on the site of the former Naval Reserve center are moving ahead.

The La Crosse Plan Commission approved the re-platting of land on Green Bay Street, so as many as 10 houses can be built on the property.

All the houses would be occupied by their owners.

If the city gives final approval this month, some construction could start before the end of the year.
