Council meeting snafu puts decision on Coulee Council on Addictions plan on hold
Neighbors have voiced opposition to building, which would be near a school.
No decision yet on a zoning change that would allow Coulee Council on Addictions to build a new facility near Lincoln Middle School in La Crosse.
Due to a mistake over a meeting notice, the city council on Thursday night, put off that decision for a month.
Meanwhile, neighbors around the area have voiced opposition to the move as have those who plan to build single-family homes through the La Crosse Promise program.
Backers of the CCA argue the need is great for the services the organization provides. Mayo Health System owns the land CCA would build on.
