A man who drove to the La Crosse police station to get his wife out of his car was the one who ended up in jail.

57-year-old Larry Harris of La Crosse drove to the police station just after 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday after an argument with his wife turned into her refusing to leave the car.

Police called it a verbal domestic and separated the pair. That’s when his wife apparently told police Harris had been drinking. He refused field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer.

Before being booked into jail, he apparently protested his arrest by saying, “I called you!”.

He faces charges for his 1st OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia charges after cops found a crack pipe in the car.
