Another national drug drop-off day is coming this weekend.

Two days a year, in April and October, people are asked to take old drugs to designated locations so they can be destroyed.

Last April, 1,100 pounds of medication were collected in La Crosse County.

In La Crosse County, permanent drop-off boxes will be emptied, so the drugs collected in the boxes can be counted with state and national totals.

Those boxes are located police stations, Gundersen clinics, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the La Crosse Police Dept.  The Town of Campbell will collect from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the town hall.

The La Crosse Police Dept. shared this information on its Facebook page:
