Police ask for help in finding illegal needle dumper

La Crosse Police are now enlisting the public’s help in tracking down the person who dumped used syringes in a dumpster on the north side last week.

Last Monday, business owner Don Earley found hundreds of syringes in his dumpster at Earley Drywall on Copeland Avenue.

Police posted a picture of a car online and are asking for help locating it. Police say the small, dark-colored car pulled into the Earley Drywall lot late at night Oct. 19.

They suspect that whoever was in that car dumped the needles.

In an online post, police say the illlegal dumping clearly shows, “drug addicts simply don’t care about public health or putting effort into disposing of their needles safely.”

There are city-installed needle disposal boxes available for public use at the Clinton Street boat landing and near Cameron Park.
