La Crosse man beaten, then later charged after man thinks he’s about to rape his girlfriend
A silhouette of another guy’s penis over his passed out girlfriend was all a La Crosse man needed to see before he pummeled the alleged perp.
Ryan Mendez of La Crosse is charged with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.
He had been drinking with a co-worker his girlfriend in downtown La Crosse on Saturday morning, before they all headed back to the couple’s apartment after bar time.
After the woman had gone to bed, the boyfriend went into her room, only to see the 29-year-old Mendez standing over her in the dark, fiddling with his waistband.
He struck Mendez in the face several times before another roommate broke up the fight. Mendez reportedly kept apologizing as he was being beaten, before going home.
It was there he was found and cited for disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.
He said the allegations were “hearsay.”

He’s right, the accusations are hearsay. Disorderly conduct is an unconstitutional catch-all that is wrongly used by police.

Is this the same Ryan Mendez that is an elementary history teacher in Galesville?
