Onalaska City Hall busy with voters as election is week away
Election day is officially a week away.
Have you voted early yet?
In Onalaska, city clerk Cari Burmaster says many are ahead of the curve with about 21 percent turnout both in person and through the mail.
For those who need to register, Burmaster warns not to wait until Tuesday.
“The lines do get long, particularly in the evening after that 5 o’clock time,” she said of election night. “At least an hour wait at least to register. It’s just much easier, probably, coming into the office ahead of time.”
To register, Burmaster says voters can use a driver’s license with their current address, a bank statement, credit card bill or utility bill.
A lot of things are on the ballot for City of Onalaska residents, including state and federal races, county referendums and a school referendum.
