UTV driver identified after fatal crash with utility pole at Wilton
The UTV driver killed in a Monroe County crash Sunday was a 22-year-old man from Wilton.
The sheriff’s office says Jared Chambers crossed the center line of Highway 71, and hit both a mailbox and a utility pole.
The Alliant Energy pole snapped, and electric lines fell down as a result.
The vehicle had turned onto its side, and responders had to put it upright to get Chambers out.
He was taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
