Science center priced at $82 million being dedicated at UWL
It’s said to be the most expensive single building on campus in the history of UW-La Crosse.
The new Prairie Springs Science Center is being dedicated today.
Built as a replacement for the Cowley Hall science building, which opened in the 60’s, the new science center cost $82 million.
The building includes up-to-date microscope equipment, and new labs for aquatic studies and anatomy.
The dedication ceremony at the UW-L student union next door will be followed by tours of the science center.
Prairie Springs opened for classes at the start of the fall semester.
