Downtown La Crosse prepares for Small Business Saturday
After hitting up all the Black Friday deals at the end of the week, Saturday is a chance to support the community.
Downtown La Crosse will be taking part in Small Business Saturday, promoted by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation at a meeting Monday at Full Circle Supply on Main Street in La Crosse.
Owner Mary Larson said all of the businesses downtown deserve your patronage.
“Really great opportunity for the community to come together to support all of the local shops,” she said. “Of course, together, we thrive, so, as a downtown shop, we’re really excited about all the growth downtown.”
There are 448,000 small businesses in the state of Wisconsin. Small Business Saturday has been happening nationally since 2010.
“It comes with a lot of personal pride in some of the products you see, made by hand in the local community,” Frank Demarest, with the Wisconsin Small Business Administration, said.
