Latest La Crosse Center options will be reviewed next week

The La Crosse Center is getting ready for the next round of comments on its expansion plans.

After Mayor Kabat vetoed one building concept and its high price tag this summer, the center board worked with project consultants to revise the possible renovation designs.

A public forum on the latest La Crosse Center plans will happen next Wednesday, the 28th, in the center ballroom.

The center management and the architects have settled on two or three building options…which will not include an extension into Riverside Park.

The public comment session will begin at 5:30 p.m.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
