Gundersen rate increases lower for 2019
La Crosse’s two big medical centers will both have smaller rate increases for 2019 than in previous years.
Gundersen Health System has just released combined clinic and hospital rates for next year. The 1.7-percent increase is a tenth of a percent lower than the rate increase last year.
Gundersen CEO Scott Rathgaber, in a statement released by the medical system said, “Gundersen is focused on keeping care affordable throughout our system.”
Gundersen said it’s the 21st consecutive year of lower rate increases.
Mayo Clinic had previously announced combined rate increases at its hospital and clinics of three percent in 2019.
Black River Falls Memorial Hospital will have zero rate increase for the third straight year.
