Stoddard woman charged with forging stolen checks, possessing meth

A Stoddard woman is accused of forging 11 stolen checks from another woman’s bank account.

The checks added up to almost $400.

Tiffany Penkalski reportedly wrote the checks in September and October, all to Festival Foods.

The woman whose blank checks were stolen told police that she had to borrow money to buy food, after losing so much cash from her account.

The victim claimed Penkalski kept pressuring her not to call police, so she delayed reporting the forgeries because she was worried that Penkalski would get other people to threaten her.

Police arrested Penkalski this week. When doing that, they found her carrying a bag of meth.
