The UW-La Crosse campus is hosting the university board of regents this week, for what could be an awkward meeting that includes La Crosse’s chancellor on the agenda.

System president Ray Cross recently reprimanded Chancellor Joe Gow for bringing a former porn star to campus, to lecture during Free Speech Week.

Cross suggests that Gow’s next pay raise, reportedly to be discussed this week, could be in jeopardy because of the controversy over Nina Hartley.

Gow is scheduled to give a welcome speech to the regents on Thursday afternoon.

The board will meet both Thursday and Friday at the UW-L student union.
