La Crosse sees 9 inches in first heavy snowstorm
The La Crosse area’s first heavy snowstorm of the season left up to nine inches of snow in parts of the county this weekend.
The heaviest snow was reported near St. Joseph, while eight inches fell at the weather service office on Grandad Bluff.
Winona and Tomah also recorded eight inches of snow. Seven inches fell in Caledonia.
Snow was heaviest around I-90 and to the north, starting on Saturday morning.
