Hand-made canoe offered as grand prize for La Crosse tourism promotion

Can you canoe?
Even if you can’t, you might want to win a hand-made canoe as part of a tourism promotion from the Explore La Crosse agency.
Convention bureau spokesman Brent Hanifl says people can enter a contest to win a yellow and red Sanborn Canoe, made in Winona, or other prizes in a drawing to be held every month.
The canoe will be awarded to one of those 12 monthly winners.
The campaign is called ‘Boatload of La Crosse County,’ and it also highlights shopping and arts attractions which can be found in the region.
The canoe will be on display at the I-90 welcome center on French Island for much of 2019.
