Police searching for suspect in alleged sexual assault at UWL

An alleged sexual assault on the UW-L campus from the weekend is still being investigated, with no arrests made yet. 

University police believe the apparent assault happened early Saturday night along La Crosse Street, near the Eagle and Coate residence halls. 

The university and La Crosse city police are looking for a white male, 6 feet tall, who was wearing a dark sweatshirt and sweatpants and rimmed glasses. 

La Crosse police are now in charge of the investigation.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse.
