A Cresco man is accused of stealing a pickup truck and leading a high-speed chase on I-35.

Twenty-year-old Adam Collings drove away from an Iowa state trooper who tried to stop him, while he was going 20 miles over the speed limit on the interstate.

The speed got up to 100 miles an hour during the chase through two counties.

Collings lost control and entered a median.

Two troopers drew their guns as Collings was coming out of the truck, because he acted as if he had a gun.

The troopers used a Taser on Collings, and he reportedly told them ‘just shoot me.’
