The La Crosse Public Library is searching for a new director.

Kelly Krieg-Sigman has set June 30th as her tentative retirement date, after 16 years in charge of the city’s three library buildings.

Krieg-Sigman notified Mayor Tim Kabat and library staff of her decision last week…giving the standard six-month notice for city department heads.

The UW-La Crosse graduate says she has been running libraries for 34 years, and is “ready to hand off the baton.”
