Evers and Barnes have La Crosse listening session today

 Wisconsin’s next governor and lieutenant governor come to La Crosse today, as part of a listening tour around the state before they take office. 

Democrats Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes will be at the American Legion Post on 6th Street in La Crosse, from noon until 1:30 today. 

The theme of the tour is ‘Building the People’s Budget.’ 

Evers and Barnes have traveled to cities around the state in the past week, to hear comments from state taxpayers. 

They will be sworn in on Jan. 7.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
