The chances for a white Christmas in La Crosse are not good this year.

There is a slight chance of seeing some snow flurries late tonight as Santa makes his deliveries, and just a 30 % chance of snow on Christmas Day.

But starting Wednesday night, there is a chance for a winter storm that could bring a mix of snow and rain, that could be heavy at times.

The rain-snow mix is likely to begin Wednesday night and continue into Friday.

La Crosse has had .1 of an inch of measurable snow since the 3rd of December, and the weather service declared the snow cover had melted by last Friday.
