In the high school graduating class of 2036, there could be plenty of grads named Jackson or Jaxon — of both sexes.

La Crosse’s two hospitals had several new babies with the name Jaxon during 2018.

Jaxon tied with Evelyn and Axel for the No. 3 girls name at Mayo Health System in La Crosse, while it was in a tie for fifth place among boys at Gundersen Health System.

Last year, Gundersen said Jackson and William were tied for the top boys names.  Noah and Evelyn topped the Gundersen baby name lists this past year.

Mayo’s most frequent boys names were Henry, Owen and Oliver
— but No. 1 overall was the girls name, Harper.
