Gundersen Clinic hopes to have its new dental clinic in downtown La Crosse open by late spring.

The medical center is now remodeling the former Wettstein’s store, which closed last summer after 50 years in business on 3rd Street — Wettstein’s has been in operation for 67 years total.

The new clinic will operate across the street from Mayo Clinic offices in the Belle Square complex.

Gundersen told WIZM its new dental clinic is expected to be finished in April, with patients being seen there by summer.
