A bank robbery Thursday in Alma Center is being described as similar to another holdup weeks ago in Black River Falls.

Both robberies occurred at branches of the Jackson County Bank.

Thursday, a woman in a black hooded jacket and black pants gave a teller a note that demanded money. No weapon was seen.

The robber walked away from the bank.

The Alma Center School was placed on lockdown for about an hour after the crime.

The previous robbery happened shortly after Thanksgiving.
