A duct-taped package aroused suspicion at the I-90 rest area near Dresbach yesterday.

A bomb squad from St. Paul was dispatched to Dresbach, around 11 a.m. Tuesday, along with the state patrol and Winona County deputies.

The package was discovered near a propane tank.

It was not clear what was in the package, so the visitor center was evacuated and police blocked off the area.

The bomb squad determined the box was filled with used syringes, and the all-clear was given around 4:30 p.m.
