Onalaska Police were called to the 1100 block of Main Street shortly after 3 p.m. for the accident.

It reported that both cars were severely damaged and one had hit a utility pole, which snapped.

The names are being withheld at this time.

Police are asking for tips from anyone who might have seen the accident take place.

Main Street was closed for several hours as police investigated and the utility pole was fixed.
