Two court cases involving La Crosse murder suspect Anquin St. Junious were heard briefly on Thursday by Judge Todd Bjerke.

St. Junious is suspected of fatally stabbing Virgil Stewart in La Crosse during a fight on Jan. 2.

The defendant did not appear in court, but Bjerke granted him two more weeks to find an attorney before a new hearing on Feb. 8.

St. Junious remains in the county jail, with bond set at $100,000.

Two cousins accused of attacking St. Junious in December also had hearings.

Terrance Thompson appeared with an attorney and is due back in court next month.

Thompson’s cousin, Odell Thompson, does not lave a lawyer yet and is set for a bond hearing Friday.

St. Junious said the Thompsons were among a group of about 20 people who punched him and knocked him out with a pipe in a confrontation on 5th Avenue South.
