Two men accused of armed robbery in north La Crosse holdup

A report of gunfire leads to armed robbery charges against two north La Crosse men. 

Justin Ellis and Timothy Ellis are expected in court Thursday, for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint on Liberty Street yesterday. 

The victim claims his car has a bullet hole from a shot fired by Timothy during the holdup. 

Police traced footprints from the robbery scene to a house on Gould Street, and waited for several hours outside the building until getting a warrant to go inside. 

The two suspects are accused of robbery and reckless endangerment. 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
