UPDATE: Goodview woman has been found

Missing person Leigh Meska has been located safe, reportedly in Rockford, Illinois, according to Winona County Emergency Management.

More information is expected from police sometime today.

Where is a Winona County woman who hasn’t been seen by her family in two days? 

Police believe she’s been in La Crosse, and apparently, she’s okay. 

The Winona County Sheriff’s Department and Goodview police say they have information that 31-year-old Leigh Meska was spotted in La Crosse on Wednesday, hours after she failed to report to her job in Rochester. 

A two-day search for Meska was called off, because she doesn’t seem to be in danger, but she still hasn’t been in touch with her family. 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
