Suspect in 2015 rape returns to La Crosse jail after Minnesota arrest
The suspect in an alleged 2015 rape in La Crosse is back in the county jail, after skipping a court appearance months ago.
Bond is set at $20,000 cash for 47-year-old Richard Vang of St. Paul.
Prosecutors say Vang raped, choked and cut a woman he had met months before. He also, allegedly, threatened to kill her.
Vang has not yet been tried in the case and was considered incompetent for a time after his arrest.
He missed a series of court hearings in La Crosse late last year and was arrested in the St. Paul area in December.
