Klobuchar to make first Wisconsin campaign stop in Eau Claire

The presidential campaigns for 2020 are starting to reach western Wisconsin.

Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar has a campaign visit planned in Eau Claire on Saturday, at a coffee bar.

Klobuchar entered the Democratic presidential race last weekend, with an outdoor speech in the snow in Minneapolis.

The senator says she plans to spend a lot of time campaigning in Wisconsin, where she has family ties.

That was interpreted by observers as a slam at Hillary Clinton, who was criticized for not visiting the Badger State between the 2016 primary and the November election.
