A La Crosse reckless homicide case from January will move ahead in court next month.

Anquin St. Junious has now obtained a defense attorney from the Neenah area, so he will have a preliminary hearing on March 4th.

St. Junious had been unable to find a lawyer for a month, until Paul Zilles took his case more than a week ago.

St. Junious is charged with reckless homicide in the stabbing death of Virgil Stewart, during an alleged fight in the doorway of a taxi.

Police say Stewart approached the cab on January 2nd, as St. Junious and his wife were about to leave a house on 7th Street South.

Stewart died after being stabbed in the chest and going to a nearby hospital.

St. Junious says he was beaten up by a group of men a few days before the stabbing.
