Driver of stolen car arrested near Sparta after firing shot
One person has been arrested after a vehicle stop in Monroe County which included gunfire.
Sheriff’s deputies in Sparta were told by Marquette County that a stolen vehicle might be in Monroe County.
The car was stopped on I-90 near the west exit to Sparta shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, and the driver of the car fired a single shot.
After a 45-minute standoff, the driver was taken into custody, and nobody was hurt.
