New DNR boss calls Evers a prizefighter for clean water
Bringing science back to the DNR.
That’s very important to Preston Cole, the man who’s been nominated to head Natural Resources in Wisconsin under Gov. Tony Evers.
Cole came to La Crosse on Friday, meeting with local leaders about clean water programs, and other nature concerns in the area.
Cole calls Evers a “prizefighter” in the battle to be sure Wisconsin’s water is high-quality.
The DNR nominee has served on the Natural Resources board for the past 12 years, under previous governors Jim Doyle and Scott Walker.
Cole is one of the Evers cabinet members who visited Wisconsin schools on Friday for “Read Across America” Day.
He met with young kids at Summit School on French Island.
