Vernon County shooting suspect gets high cash bond

Bond is $250,000 for the Chaseburg man accused of fatally shooting his roommate over the weekend. 

David Stowe appeared by video link before a Vernon County judge on Monday. 

Stowe could be charged with 1st-degree murder for the shooting of 75-year-old Stuart Warner, an Arizona man who was staying at his home. 

Warner was found dead by a sheriff’s deputy, who responded to a 911 call from Stowe. 

The suspect reportedly is being housed at the Mendota institute in Madison for now.
