Memorial service Monday for La Crosse man killed in D.C. shooting

The shooting death of a La Crosse man in Washington, D.C., is unsolved, more than a month after the crime.

David Anthony Remen was shot and killed on Feb. 14, while staffing an office in Washington.

The masked gunman, who entered the building, also wounded the owner of the staffing service.

A memorial service for Remen, who was 32, is scheduled for Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

No arrests have been made.

Police in D.C., are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that could lead to an arrest.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
