Homicide charge now filed against Chaseburg man

A charge of 1st-degree murder has now been filed against a Chaseburg man accused of killing his roommate last month. 

David Stowe is expected to appear on the homicide charge Thursday in Vernon County court, along with a charge of felony possession of a firearm

Stowe is accused of shooting 75-year-old Stuart Warner last month at the house where the two were living. 

Sheriff’s officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from Stowe, who claimed there was suspicious activity at the house, and they found Warner shot to death.
