La Crosse County election results

While the race to elect a state Supreme Court judge was too close to call, and is headed for a recount, in La Crosse County there was no doubt who won.

Lisa Neubauer received 13,848 votes to Brian Hagedorn’s 8,885 in the county.

Overall, the difference in the race is under 1 percent, with Hagedorn out front. Anything under that percentage point allows the trailing candidate to request a recount.

Meanwhile, in other county races, two districts had contested La Crosse city council seats in yesterday’s election.

In District 4, it was Larry Sleznikow beat John David Lash 666-256. In District 5, Justice Weaver defeated Sam Grenier 232-126.

In Onalaska, three districts for city council had contested races.

In District 1, Tom Smith edged out Jim Binash 427-420. In District 2, it was Dan Stevens over Jerry Every 517-381. And, in District 3, Boondi Iyer defeated Ron Gjertsen 704-474.

Holmen’s village president race went to Patrick Barlow over Nancy Proctor, 1,007-624.
