An altercation at Lincoln Middle School has led to one student being taken into custody.

The exact nature of the altercation is not being released.

The incident happened during the school day on Wednesday.

An e-mail sent out to parents by Principal Melissa Murray said children and staff were never in harm’s way and students were kept in classrooms while they attended to necessary blood clean up.

She also mentioned some students may have witnessed and recorded the incident, encouraging parents to be sure their child didn’t share it on social media.

There is no word on possible charges for the student taken into custody.

Why is the school downplaying this incident and w hy isn’t this reported on either television station? Students are saying the victim was stabbed in the neck/face with a scissors outside the art room and was the result of a bullying incident. They are also saying that any child that videotaped the incident was given in school suspension.
