It’s 1 out of 2 for La Crescent school questions

Voters in the La Crescent-Hokah School District have mixed feelings about two referendums. 

One of the questions on Tuesday’s ballot was approved by a margin of 106 votes…1258 to 1152.  

That measure calls for spending $23 million to expand the elementary school and make some changes to other schools in the district. 

The second referendum was defeated, 1208 to 1192, by only 16 votes. 

It would have upgraded buildings and athletic facilities to make them more accessible to the disabled.
