Park department sets ‘to-do’ list for next 10 years

It seems just about everybody has a spring cleaning ‘to-do’ list. The city of La Crosse is no different. 

The city’s park board gave the OK on a 10-year maintenance plan, which will be updated as projects are completed. 

High on the list is replacing the Kids Coulee playground at Myrick Park, and renovating or replacing the ice rink-shelter at Copeland Park. 

The maintenance and improvement plan breaks up a long list of projects into different levels of priority —high, medium, and low. 

The highest items to be done are proposed for the next 1-3 years. 

Projects, which could wait three years or more, include the bathrooms at Myrick, the Grandad Bluff flagpole and playgrounds at a few other parks.
