Tomah man accused of child abuse death

TOMAH, Wis. — A mysterious death in Tomah led to a child abuse and homicide investigation.

Bond is set at $750,000 in Monroe County Court for 34-year-old Marcus Anderson of Tomah, who is accused of causing the death of a 3-year-old.

Police were called to Anderson’s house on Jodi Circle in Tomah on Friday, where they attempted to save the child’s life.

An autopsy found that the child died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Anderson is charged with reckless homicide, child abuse causing great bodily harm, and multiple counts of bail-jumping.
