Winona cuts list of school superintendent candidates to 6
The Winona School District has reduced its list of candidates for superintendent to six semi-finalists.
Fifteen people in all had applied to succeed current superintendent Rich Dahman, who’s leaving the job at the end of the school year.
Three of the candidates are already superintendents in Minnesota…including Randi Anderson of Pelican Rapids, who worked with the La Crosse School District several years ago.
Prairie du Chien superintendent Robert Smudde also is in the running.
The six candidates will be interviewed this weekend, and members of the public in Winona will get to meet the three finalists next week.
