Fire official facing porn charge will leave job in June
The La Crosse fire division chief accused of keeping images of child pornography on a computer will leave the fire department in just over a month.
June 22 will be Frank Devine’s last day employed by the city, under a separation agreement that was given the OK by the city council Thursday night.
The agreement was actually signed last month — not long after investigators learned that an online image of child porn came from a home computer used by Devine.
The fire department veteran will remain on administrative leave until his departure date.
His criminal case is still in La Crosse County court.
