Owner of Onalaska Mexican restaurant charged with sexual assault

An Onalaska restaurant owner is being charged in Eau Claire County with sexually assaulting an employee. 

Filiberto Rivera, the owner of Manny’s Cocina in Onalaska and Eau Claire, is accused of assaulting a woman working at the Eau Claire location earlier this month. 

The 20-year-old employee told investigators that Rivera gave her a margarita at closing time one night, and she felt really drunk. 

She claims that Rivera had her lie down on the bar, and repeatedly drank alcohol out of her belly button. 

Rivera faces a third-degree sexual assault charge. 

He was given a signature bond, and is due back in Eau Claire County court on July 1.
